What we do
Most epoxy floors that fail in Bakersfield do not fail because of the epoxy. They fail because of what happened before the epoxy went down. This site exists to connect you with contractors who prepare the slab properly, and to tell you what to ask before you sign anything.
Garage floors
The most common job in Bakersfield. A two car garage typically runs 400 to 500 square feet and takes one to two days.
Garage floor coating →Commercial and industrial
Warehouses, shops, packing houses and food facilities. Cure time and downtime matter more than looks.
Commercial epoxy →Metallic epoxy
The marbled, high gloss look. Beautiful, more expensive, and much less forgiving of a bad installer.
Metallic floors →Patio and pool deck
Outdoor coatings need UV stability and texture. Standard epoxy alone is the wrong product outside.
Patio and pool deck →Why floors fail here specifically
Bakersfield summers run past 100 degrees for weeks at a time, and a closed garage in July can sit well above that. Two things follow from that, and any contractor worth hiring will bring them up before you do.
- Heat shortens working time. Epoxy that would give you 40 minutes at 70 degrees can start setting in half that on a hot slab. Crews that pour at noon in August are fighting the product.
- Moisture moves up through the slab. Central Valley soil and irrigation put water under a lot of these homes. If nobody tests for vapor drive and the coating goes down anyway, it can lift in sheets a year later.
What it costs
Short version for Bakersfield: most residential garage jobs land between $3 and $7 per square foot installed, and a standard two car garage usually falls between $1,500 and $3,500. Metallic systems and heavy industrial floors run higher. The full breakdown, including what makes a bid go up, is on the cost page.
